                                NATIVE LANGUAGE and CREATIVE READING

Reading book is so important for our self improvement. We can expand our vocabulary and it heps us to change our point of view towards life and sometimes changing our point of views helps us to solve our daily problems quicker and get away from them much easily. Because sometimes we can’t see the solution of problems because we are always thinking in the same way also it expand our imagination.

Classical books are more educational than ordinary books. Ordinary books are just for fun but you can learn new things from ordinary books as well but if we compare in way of educational they are not as educational as classical books because Classical books are written by experienced authors and most of the stories of classical books are based on lived stories. As aresult of this you can point a moral about life. But while you are reding these classical books you should read it carefully. You shoul focus on just book and you could try to understand what author meant while the author was writing the book so creative reading is so important. While you are reading that book you can take notes because sometimes there are so meaningful sentences even though we may not pay attention.

Most of the classical books were written in old times so you can learn informations about culture, people, clothes of old times. One of the reason thet ı joined to this Project which is called “Creative Reading” is how ı can read the book more efficently and ı learnt that if you search the author and if you research in which years the book passed in consequence of these researches before you start to read the book you have foreknowledge anymore as a result of that you could read book more efficently likewise you can understand what the aouthor meant.

What eTwinning Has Given Us (Nisanur E. - Nazilli Science High School)

Etwinning is a project where we can talk to the world. Etwinning provides many opportunities for us students. We know brand new individuals and worlds with project we participate in. It ıs a great excitement to learn about the culture and traditions of each new world. While we know many different countries, we find the opportunity to develop our foreign languages mutually. We make new friends and host fun conversations. In the meetings we have with our teachers in different countries, we have the chance to make many new friends. We have a pleasant time while adding brand new information to each other.

We use web2 tools while doing activities in etwinning. In this way, we learn to use web 2 tools actively and better. The activities carried out give us a sense of responsibility and duty. We discovers creativity in reading with the Creating Reading Project that ı am also involved in. And we look at the english literature from different perspective. In this project, while understanding the importance of reading a book, we also learn the opinions of people from different culture about the content of the book and have discussions on this subject. While we improve our reading in English, we also improve our English writing with story writing activities.

Etwinning provides a safe environment for students. Security problems that started with the internet in our lives are of great importance today. In addition to all the facilities it provides, Etwinning also offer a safe internet environment. Student engage in activities, have fun and improve their cultural level without safety concerns.

What eTwinning Brought Me (Nazilli Science High School/Nisanur D.)

Hi everyone. I wanna share my ideas about our project. You know it is called Creative Reading. Firstly thanks to this project cause I met a lovely book.

And I used many web2 applications.I learned   more applications to use. And know I now something about partner countries' literature. We met friends from other countries I pleasure this.

And now I came the web2 applications what we use to this project

Actually I used mostly Canva for my works. Also I used Cram, you know for the words game. And Storyjumper used  for this project.

Finally I can say those:

This project provided an interaction between cultures.  I hope to see you again in another eTwinning project.

By my good wishes

 Native Language

Regardless of your purpose of reading, it doesn't matter. Reading books will always be useful. Reading classical books is better than reading more ordinary books. Classic books open your horizons. It expands your vocabulary and is more specific. Ordinary books just make you have a good time. Yes, ordinary books are useful too, but not as much as classic books.  I think everyone should definitely read cult and known works such as Frankenstein.

I believe that great books have great authors. Otherwise, how could they have the imagination to create such works?

In addition, the readership is also very important. The general type of a writer's reader shows how he or she addresses people. If a writer does not have a general type of reader, that writer has reached real power. It proves that it appeals to everyone. Addressing everyone is a difficult task, and only great writers achieve it.

If you only read a book, you gain only a few features, but if you research and feel that book, you will gain a brand new life. So you have to do creative reading. Creative reading is actually not a simple concept. It is not easy to give a full definition. It is a reading approach that feeds on thinking skills and scales. It enables the reader to establish meaningful connections between her inner world and the outer world through text and images.

Reading a book that is not your native tongue can always tire you a little. But it also allows you to improve in a foreign language. You will learn more words. It would be best to have a dictionary while reading it. It is difficult if you are reading a heavy book, but it is even more difficult if your native tongue is not.

Anyway, if you read a classic book with creative reading, you gain a whole new perspective.

                    eTwinning and Contributions to Us

In 21st century skills , teachers have an active role by interacting, investigating, making decisions, respect each other. At this point eTwinning projects have important position.  eTwinner teachers work together and organise activities for their students.  The role of eTwinning is important to support measures offered to teachers in the  development of technology related digital competences. We had  an idea about the educational practices in different schools and  countries, developed foreign language practice, used information technologies by using web 2 tools effectively in our lessons, made the lessons more fun by using web 2 tools that made the students more motivated. It helped us about self-development too.

eTwinner students have an an active role during the tasks .eTwinning offered new learning opportunities for students They were  more motivated to the lesson and project activities. They had a chance to get to know different cultures by communicating with students with other partner schools. They  practiced in a foreign language and it improved. They had also opportunities  to develop their digital competences. They used web technologies for eTwinning project. They had an active role during English lesson as they participated in the project.

Besides ,they also socialized .It was really important especially in Covid-19 Pandemic period.Students cooperated with the students from different schools.Besides eTwinning projects increased their critical thinking skills, creative problem solving. They used different tools like brainstorming ,brainwriting, scamper etc.

eTwinning has been a great reinforcement, not only in the classroom, but also in our school work at home. Thanks for all colleagues ,all students.Hope to meet in different project next year.

Our Co-Work about Natural Beauties

Natural Beauties Co-Work

Natural beauties in our town/city/country Work

"We were nearly surrounded by ice, which closed in the ship on all sides, scarcely leaving her the sea room in which she floated. Our situation was somewhat dangerous, especially as we were encompassed by a very thick fog."

Walton, Letter 4

"the majestic and wondrous scenes which surrounded our Swiss home - the sublime shapes of the mountains; the changes of the seasons; tempest and calm; silence of the winter, and the life and turbulence of our Alpine summers"
Victor, Chap 2

"I remained two days at Lausanne, in this painful state of mind. I contemplated the lake: the waters were placid; all around was calm, and the snowy mountains, "the palaces of nature," were not changed. By degrees the calm and heavenly scene restored me, and I continued my journey towards Geneva."(p47)

"It was the most beautiful season; never did the fields bestow a more plentiful harvest, or the vines yield a more luxuriant vintage: but my eyes were insensible to the charms of nature."
Victor, Chap 4

"Dear mountains! My own beautiful lake! How do you welcome your wanderer? You summits are clear; the sky and lack are blue and placid. Is this to prognosticate peace, or to mock at my unhappiness?"
Victor, Chap 7
